How much smaller will my PDF get?

Most PDFs shrink 30-70% with no visible quality loss. Documents heavy in images compress more dramatically (sometimes 80-90%). Already-optimized PDFs may shrink only a few percent.

Does compression reduce image quality?

The default settings preserve image quality. We re-write the PDF with object-stream compression and a tighter resource map — these are lossless. A future Pro option will offer Ghostscript-grade lossy compression for maximum savings.

Does my file get uploaded anywhere?

No. PDF Compress runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Your file never reaches our servers — we only log an anonymous usage event for tier counting.

What size PDF can I compress?

Free tier: up to 10 MB. Basic (£7.99/mo): 100 MB. Pro (£17.99/mo) and above: 500 MB - 2 GB.
