Refund Policy

Effective 15 May 2026 · plain-English summary above each clause; the binding terms are the clauses themselves.

We want you happy with Apexkit, not stuck with a subscription you can't use. This page lays out exactly when you can get your money back.

01Monthly subscriptions — 14-day cooling-off

Under UK / EU consumer law you have 14 days from the day you start a paid subscription to change your mind and get a full refund — no reason required. The clock starts on the day of the first successful payment.

To claim the cooling-off refund, email hello@apexkit.prowith the subject line “14-day cooling-off refund.” We process refunds within 2 business days and the amount lands back on your card in 5–10 days depending on your bank.

Note: if you've used significant compute (e.g. generated 10+ AI headshots, run a heavy slide-deck generation) within the cooling-off window, we may deduct a fair-use amount proportional to the actual API cost we incurred. We'll explain the deduction in the refund email.

02Annual subscriptions — 30-day money-back

Yearly subscribers get a more generous 30-day money-back window. Same process: email hello@apexkit.pro, full refund (less fair-use deduction for heavy AI consumption, as above).

After day 30, annual subscriptions are non-refundable — but you can still cancel at any time via the Stripe billing portal at /app/billing. Cancellation stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the current 12-month period.

03AppSumo Lifetime Deal — 60-day money-back

If you bought an Apexkit LTD code on AppSumo, AppSumo's standard 60-day no-questions-asked refund window applies. To claim a refund:

  • Submit the refund request directly via your AppSumo account.
  • We'll see the cancellation via AppSumo's refund webhook within 24 hours and unlink your account from the redeemed code.
  • Any other LTD codes you stacked stay redeemed — only the refunded code is released.

After day 60, AppSumo LTD purchases are non-refundable (per AppSumo's terms). Codes remain tied to your account for life as long as the service operates and the original Terms of Service haven't been breached.

04Tool failures, downtime, double-charges

If a tool produces an unusable result through our fault (server-side bug, AI model regression, integration outage), email hello@apexkit.prowith the request ID (visible in the tool's result panel). We'll refund the affected usage in compute credits or pro-rata cash, your choice.

Downtime exceeding 4 hours in any 30-day period triggers an automatic 5% pro-rata credit on your next invoice. We track this on our public status page (linked from the footer of https://apexkit.pro) — credits don't require manual claim.

Double charges or other obvious billing errors are refunded in full, immediately, no questions asked.

05What we won't refund

Refunds aren't available for:

  • Subscriptions where the cooling-off / money-back window has expired.
  • Accounts terminated for breach of our Acceptable Use policy.
  • Dissatisfaction with AI quality where the tool itself is functioning as documented. (We invest heavily in quality and we'll happily discuss specific complaints — but “the AI summary missed a detail” is a product-quality concern, not a billing one.)
  • Compute already consumed on credit packs sold separately from a subscription (e.g. one-off “100 headshots” packs).

06How to request

Email hello@apexkit.pro with:

  • The email on your account
  • The reason (helpful for us, not required for cooling-off / money-back)
  • For tool-failure refunds: the request ID from the tool's result panel

We acknowledge within 1 business day and process eligible refunds within 2 business days. Refunds appear on the original payment method 5–10 days later.

Disputes that can't be resolved with us can also be escalated via your card issuer's chargeback process or via the consumer-rights body in your country (e.g. Citizens Advice in the UK).
