Subscription-first, not ad-supported

iLovePDF stayed free-with-ads and built a $1.4M ARR business off 269M monthly visits. Smallpdf went subscription-first and got to $8.3M ARR off 30M visits. That's the difference between treating users as inventory vs treating them as customers.

Cancel-the-rest is the pitch

Most of our customers find us because they're tired of paying $20 here, $15 there, $30 somewhere else. The marketing isn't 'best AI ever' — it's 'cancel 10 subs, get all 100 tools'. The /compare/* pages tell you when to stick with the competitor instead.

Apexkit is solo-built in the UK on a 6-month runway. Background: a decade of shipping consumer + B2B SaaS, including time spent building developer tooling and running infrastructure for products with millions of users.

The reason this is a one-person operation isn't ideology — it's focus. A tight loop between “customer mentions a problem” and “feature is live” is the only sustainable edge over the bigger players.

Hiring plan: one part-time designer in month 2-3 once revenue covers the cost, plus contract help on growth + content from month 6.

    Long-tail tools shipped at 2-4 per week. PWA mobile target. Public API v1. WordPress + Shopify plugins.

    Team workspaces + reseller

    Agency-tier white-label fully wired. SCIM provisioning for enterprise resellers. Affiliate programme open.
