Frequently asked about Image Upscaler 4x

Is this AI upscaling?

Not yet on Free — current upscale uses high-quality canvas interpolation (bicubic). Pro+ gets AI upscale via Real-ESRGAN, coming Wave 2 month 4-6.

Best for what?

Best for clean source: vector logos rendered to bitmap, screenshots, simple graphics. On photos canvas upscale produces softer results than AI upscale.

Maximum output size?

Output is capped at 8192px on either dimension to avoid running out of memory on mobile browsers. For larger jobs use a desktop browser.
