Frequently asked about Convert Image Format

Why convert to WebP?

WebP files are ~30-40% smaller than equivalent JPG/PNG at similar quality. Every modern browser supports it. Older CMS systems (some WordPress installs, legacy email clients) still need JPG fallback.

Lossless conversion?

PNG output is lossless. JPG and WebP output are lossy by design — you'll see slight artifacts at quality below ~75.

HEIC support?

Yes for input (iPhone-default photos). Output to HEIC isn't supported because most desktops can't view it natively yet.
