True PDF redaction (removes the text underneath, not just covers it) ships in V2. For visual redaction now: open in a desktop editor or convert to JPG first, then edit.

Not yet — both are on the V2 roadmap. PDF/A for archival, PDF/X for print production. Both rely on stricter PDF subsets we're not currently enforcing.

Embedded raster images are downscaled to ~150 DPI by default (visually clean at standard reading distance, dramatically smaller). The quality preset slider raises this to 300 DPI when print-quality matters.
