ChatGPT Plus at $20/month is a chatbox; Apexkit at £17.99/month (Pro) is a set of focused tools each built around one specific task. We use GPT-4o under the hood for AI features but wrap it in tool-specific UIs (Resume Tailor, Email Writer, Translate, etc.) so output is consistently structured.

No — every Apexkit subscription includes every tool. Tier-based caps are on usage volume, not feature access.

No — Apexkit runs entirely in your browser. No download, no extension required. A future mobile-PWA target is on the roadmap for month 4-6.

Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari all work. Chrome and Edge offer the broadest WebCodecs support which speeds up video-related tools. Safari is the most conservative on file-system access — works fine, just slower on large drops.

Yes for most tools — the UI is responsive and adapts to small screens. Heavy in-browser tools (video, large PDFs) work best on desktop. A dedicated PWA ships month 4-6.

Browser-side tools (PDF Compress, Merge, JSON Formatter, etc.) will work once the page is loaded, but most AI tools call our servers and need internet.

Not today. We do all model billing centrally so we can optimise costs (caching, model-routing, fallback strategies). BYO-key may land in V2 if there's demand.

Only if you pick the yearly cycle, in which case it renews once a year (saves ~17% vs monthly). Monthly cycles renew every 30 days; you can switch cycle any time.

No. We use the OpenAI and Anthropic enterprise endpoints which contractually exclude your data from model training. Your inputs are never used to improve any model.

Yes. Anything Apexkit generates (text, images, audio, PDFs) is yours to use commercially. The underlying-model providers (OpenAI, Replicate) confirm the same in their terms.

Outputs download to your machine. For tools that involve server-side work (subtitling, AI headshot, slide deck), the intermediate file is held on Cloudflare R2 EU and auto-deleted in 24h (Free) / 7d (paid).

No — /pricing is public. Sign-up only happens when you click 'Get [tier]' and proceed to Stripe Checkout.

Yes — each tool is its own page, so you can have several open in different tabs. Browser-side tools don't queue; server-side ones run on the standard queue (instant on Pro+, ~5-15s wait on Free).

On Pro+, your server-side tool calls (Whisper transcription, GPT-4o, Replicate models) skip the normal queue. Useful when you're using the same tool 20 times in a row.

Yes — Pro+ includes a 'Download all my data' button in Settings that bundles account info, usage history, and file references into a ZIP. GDPR right-to-portability friendly.

Yes — Stripe Tax automatically calculates 20% UK VAT for UK consumers, 0% for UK businesses with a verified VAT number (reverse charge), and the appropriate EU rates for EU users.

Yes — enter your VAT number at Stripe Checkout; Stripe applies reverse charge for B2B and produces a compliant invoice you can download from the Customer Portal.

No. About 35% of our tools use the OpenAI API; the rest use Anthropic, Replicate (for image / audio models), pdf-lib, pdfjs, qpdf, ffmpeg, and pure browser-side processing. ChatGPT is one ingredient, not the product.

Browser-side tools (compress, merge, format-convert, JSON) finish in 1–3 seconds. AI tools (Whisper transcription, GPT-4o writing) take 3-20 seconds depending on input size + queue position. Pro+ priority queue cuts AI latency roughly in half.

Yes — Agency tier (£99/mo) includes full white-label (your domain, your branding) and a reseller programme. Pro and Power get partial white-label (PDF outputs only).

No — Apexkit is funded by subscriptions, not ads. We don't sell ad space on the site or inside tools.

No — neither on Free nor on any paid plan. The Free tier limits use to 1 per tool; once you upgrade you get unlimited unwatermarked output.

Not yet via the UI — current tools handle one file at a time. Pro+ users with API access can build their own batch via the public API. Native batch UI ships in V2.

Azure Container Apps gives us automatic restart + multi-zone failover in UK South. Status page (status.apexkit.pro — V2) will surface live incidents. Browser-side tools (most PDF + image) still work even during a server outage.

English (en-GB) only at launch. UI translation to Spanish, French, German, Portuguese ships in V2 (month 4–6) based on usage signal.

Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Type DELETE to confirm; we cancel your Stripe sub at period end, wipe all your files + usage history, and remove your sign-in credentials.

Not a one-click pause yet — but you can downgrade to Free at any time (we keep your usage history) and re-upgrade when you need it. Stripe-level pause ships V2.
